Job Description


Provide customer service, staff support and technical resource/facilities functions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

  1. Assist customers in the selection and checkout of materials and orientation to the use of language facility equipment.
  2. Support staff and instructors with administrative functions, such as, but not limited to, duplication of classroom materials (digital media), training aids, classroom set up and tear down, arranging for supplies, and training aid support.
  3. Monitors and maintains data storage on shared servers.
  4. Provides technical assistance and support to the Moodle Learning Management System software.
  5. Monitor the use of facility and the computer/language lab.
  6. Control government property by maintaining an extensive inventory of discs, publications, and equipment to include, intake, shelving and warehousing.
  7. Generate word-processed or data based reports on attendance, inventories and scheduling.
  8. Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software.
  9. Install and configure internal and external “in-out” devices such as scanners, printers, and keyboards.
  10. Use Automated visual equipment, multimedia equipment, satellite communications equipment, video cameras, video capture software and hardware utilities, and digital sound recording equipment and software.
  11. Install and use MSOffice software, other data management programs, and educational and foreign language software as required by the government.
  12. Configure English language computer operating systems for foreign language word processing.
  13. Review and test software packages for potential use in the program.
  14. Use Adobe Creative Suite to design pages, use templates and import audio and video media, manipulate fonts and create hyperlinks and use navigation strategies to develop lesson plans for instructors.
  15. Other duties as assigned to support the foreign language program in the region.

Job Requirements

  1. Expertise in commonly applied automation and information systems operating principles (Windows, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Network Applications).
  2. Practical working knowledge of computer systems, software and hardware and the ability to troubleshoot systems.
  3. Expertise in Automated Visual technologies.
  4. Expertise with Moodle LMS or similar LMS software (Moodle, Canvas, ETC)
  5. Comptia Security+, Comptia A+, or Comptia Network+
  6. Ability to pass a National level background and security check.


  1. Specific expertise with Moodle.
  2. Experience with US Army and Department of Defense automation systems and Enterprise.
  3. Experience with NIPR (Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router) Network.
  4. Experience with multi-cultural environment and diverse customers.
  5. Network administrator experience
  6. Experience with Windows Server
