Job Description

Overview

The specialized services supervisor manages a Catapult Learning specialized services program through the training and performance management of staff and day to day program management. 

These positions are summer school administrators in 3 buildings in Dayton, Ohio. June 1st - July 2nd.


Responsibilities

  • Communicates with Regional Director concerning management and day-to-day oversight of their program.
  • Hires, trains and supervises professional staff at assigned schools.  Supervision to include regularly scheduled individual and small group sessions, in-service training, staff observation and performance evaluation.
  • Assures that their program is run and services are provided in accordance with the applicable Catapult Learning Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Establishes a positive professional rapport with principals.  
  • Reports and resolves concerns regarding program needs.  
  • Communicates with school principal and parents as needed concerning program implementation concerns. 
  • Provides assistance to staff in the development of schedules and strategies to meet the needs of all participating students or families.
  • Assures that program staff has materials and supplies available as required to perform their jobs.
  • Schedules professional development for staff to enhance skill in areas related to program services. 
  • If requested, assists Catapult Learning managers with the completion and submission of local, state, Catapult Learning and/or federal forms and
    applications needed.


Job Requirements



  • Masters Degree and certification in program field are required.  
  • Experience supervising relevant staff preferred
  • Experience providing service in an educational environment is required.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to communicate with students, families and school personnel.
  • Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills are a must. 
  • Must be able to bring parents, school personnel, and outside resources together to work effectively for children. 
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required.
