Job Description


The Sales Research Analyst is a key role on the sales operations team, serving as an analyst for initiatives designed to develop new business and renew existing programs. The position is responsible for the efficient and effective support of the sales organization, including funding opportunity research, sales reporting/analytics, database management, and other analytic activities in support of the sales and renewal process.


  • Monitor protocols for sales representatives to track opportunities
  • Support the maintenance of the company sales pipeline database
  • Develop and distribute sales/renewal reports
  • Assist in the implementation and administration of sales technologies
  • Communicate with sales representatives and field management regarding sales progress and sales goals
  • Implement analysis and research projects that align with company objectives and sales goals, including state/federal education funding, renewal metrics, and sales activities
  • Research, and analysis and insighst about current and potential customers, including internal data (academic, financial, billing, survey, etc) as well as external data relevant to business development

Job Requirements

  • Ideal role for early career individual and/or someone interested in moving into education market
  • High level of interest in data analysis and market research
  • Research experience, ideally within education and/or with a multi-state organization, but academic projects acceptable
  • Must have excellent organizational aptitude and high attention to detail
  • Must possess strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to handle complex, difficult, or escalated issues
  • Ideal candidate must demonstrate responsiveness and a sense of urgency when dealing with internal and external clients
  • Must be a team player with effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands and prioritize workload
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel knowledge; knowledge of Power BI preferred
