Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Teacher for our school in York, PA.  The teacher for this school will provide instructional services using educational expertise in reading, mathematics and writing, diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods.  The teacher will also consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students, communicate and conference with parents providing information on student progress.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies
  • Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
  • Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classroom or to mobile classroom
  • Establishes and maintains student forms and files
  • Attends and documents conferences and meetings with supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as needed and required
  • Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies

Job Requirements



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


Requires a bachelor’s degree and valid teaching certificate, as required by contract. Teaching experience preferred.


OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

We seek teachers who are passionate about understanding that all children can learn, a positive and enthusiastic professional with a service attitude for both internal and external customers. Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred. Working environment includes walking, climbing stairs and light lifting. Most positions are programs within the school setting
