Overview

The Research Analyst is an essential contributor to research and evaluation efforts company-wide, bolstering data-driven decision-making across all areas of work to ultimately maintain high-quality educational programs for students. There are three primary components to the Research Analyst role: 1. Collect, organize and manage quantitative and qualitative data across business lines to support departmental deliverables in an effective and efficient manner; 2. Contribute to the analysis of organizational data to inform internal research goals; 3. Support cross-departmental collaborations to enable the most effective use of data at Catapult Learning.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement processes to merge and analyze data from various data sources across all business lines.
  • Conceptualize, conduct and present statistical analysis to inform organizational research questions and contribute to data-driven decision making. 
  • Apply cutting-edge survey methodology to all internal and external surveys, work with field leaders to target survey completeness, and manage incoming survey data.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to continually strengthen data utilization and data communication efforts.
  • Support external research partnerships around research design, data optimization and statistical analysis.
  • Support network in the use of evaluation data to ensure data-driven decision making.

Job Requirements




KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Master’s degree required; degree in educational psychology or social sciences highly preferred.

  • At least three years of related experience is required.

  • Background conducting research within the context of educational initiatives is required; background in program evaluation preferred.

  • Advanced Excel required; understanding of relational datasets, including a knowledge of SQL, is highly preferred.

  • Must have excellent technical writing, statistical analysis, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. 

  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels. 

  • Travel is required <10% of the time.
