We are currently seeking a Director of Academics to lead all efforts to ensure academic excellence within the five boroughs of NYC based upon curriculum, instruction, and professional development.  This professional will work closely with department managers and supervisors to guide their approach to academic services through technical training and guidance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and report on student performance measurements.
  • Serve as a trusted academic resource to the territory department of education leadership
  • Ensure delivery and conformance of instructional services to state and school standards.
  • Ensure teaching staff utilize approved curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Supportsefforts to gather program quality data via evaluation testing and observation
  • Collaborate with professional development staff on program quality, staffing and training
  • Respond to regional school administration questions and inquiries regarding K-12 academic matters
  • Support and administer the department budget
  • Work with regional and company leadership to improve related procedures
  • Establish close professional relationships with regional program and school-based staff and school administration
  • Lead a proactive communication process for all stakeholders


  • Manage the performance and effectiveness of program supervisors to ensure that staff functions well and program goals are attained in conjunction with regional academic programs
  • Assure that assembled staff can demonstrate appropriate skills, ability and training to meet the demands of contracted programs. Responsible for staff development and performance management.
  • Act as a role model for establishing appropriate positive morale and attitude toward work and organization. 

Job Requirements


Master’s Degree is highly preferred and at least five years of related K-12 education or school leadership/principal experience.  Professional Education experience a must.  We also seek the following:

  • Experience with data analysis and use of data to develop business insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills.  Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management. 
  • Has the ability to handle multiple priorities while also being flexible.
