Responsibilities

Special Education Teachers provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas; diagnoses learning skill deficits and delivers prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company; consults with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students; communicates and conferences with parents providing information on student progress.

What you will do as a Teacher for Catapult Learning:'s High Road School:

Special Education Teachers provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, writing, and related areas. Teachers diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods. Special Education Teachers consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students and will communicate and have conferences with parents providing information on student progress. Responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans
  • Ensure the supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom
  • Attend training sessions, pass content assessment, and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of Catapult designed materials and educational strategies
  • Establish and maintain student forms and files as required
  • Attend and document conferences, meetings and trainings with Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required
  • Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies

Education and Requirements:

Current Special Education Certification in the DE is required. We encourage those with a Bachelor's degree to apply as well.

We seek teachers who are passionate about understanding that all children can learn, a positive and enthusiastic professional with a service attitude for both internal and external customers. Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred. Working environment includes walking, climbing stairs and light lifting. Most positions are programs within the school setting
